Dr. Amalia Athanasopoulos, PsyD
Co-Director
Amalia received her Doctorate in School Psychology in 2005 from St. Johns University and her School Administration Supervision certification shortly after that. In 2002, she began serving the Special Education Preschool population as a School Psychologist at Sunshine Developmental School. She continues to serve the Sunshine community as the Clinical Director, ensuring that the children are given the highest quality related services as outlined in their Individual Education Plans. She oversees the Clinical Departments: Speech, OT, PT, Psychology and Social Work. Her goal is that each child receives the appropriate therapies in their school environment, which support attaining their goals on their IEPS and reaching their fullest individual potential. Amalia’s incredible clinical acumen and warmth ensure that children and their families receive the best and most appropriate services.
